I am seeking resources for investing in independent check cashing/money transfer stores.?
We don’t want to open check cashing stores from scratch or take an active management role, but rather invest and take an ownership stake in profitable check cashing/money transfer shops for good cash flow yields.
Are there any good references available to help find independent (non corporate shops)? Could someone who has done this before provide any advise?
I am director of purchasing for resort developer near disney world in florida. i recently met a man who took money from the families 100 year old philadelphia paint business retail, and opened a dozen check cash stores in Philly. he may be prepared to open central florida locations since that is huge business here due to tourists and labor force from other regions. Amscot is huge corporate success here and i would consider a small percentage in this arrangement.
